At the bottom of the Machico valley, also known as the Mimosas valley, we walk along the Levada de Maroços. We enjoy a selected stretch of 6 km of beauty and typical agricultural fields of Madeira with the famous terraces. It is a very special route with magnificent views over Machico Bay, where the Portuguese sailors made their first visit to Madeira.

  • Activity is subject to availability, safety conditions and weather conditions.
  • Pick-up: 9.45 Machico, 9:40 Santa Cruz, 9:30 Caniço, 9:00 Funchal.
  • Meeting point: at the hotel reception; in the city centre, alternative points at 9:15 (Teleférico, Palácio da Justiça, or Centro Comercial Plaza Madeira).
  • A tolerance of 20 minutes should be given from the stipulated pick time between hotels.
