This is one of the most popular trails on the island, a true masterpiece of nature. Descending from the famous Paúl da Serra plateau, we arrive at the Rabaçal shelter and from here we head towards the Risco waterfall. Then we descend the Levada das 25 Fontes and walk until we reach a kind of lagoon. This lagoon is located at the bottom of a rock from which the 25 waterfalls (fountains) fall, which is why they gave this levada its name. On the way back, the route takes us through a tunnel that also directs the waters towards the south of the island.
