Walking Tour – Mistérios Negros – On the way to the interior of the island you will have the opportunity to watch the fields where the wild cattle lives, as well as how rich the interior of the island is, preserved and kept by the locals throughout the centuries up to the present day. We go through a Volcano, Pico da Bagacina, then reaching the trail place where you will be dazzled by the wonderful Lagoa do Negro.
The trail develops in the place where the most recent eruptions of the Terceira Island occurred, around 12000 years ago. Throughout the trail we will see pastures and a cedar forest, among other species that complement the stunning endemic vegetation. In the final zone of the trail, we can watch Pico Gaspar’s volcano crater.
