Discover a unique agricultural experience on Terceira Island, where organic milk production takes place in perfect harmony with nature. Located in the parish of São Brás, in the municipality of Praia da Vitória, this farm has been certified in Organic Production Mode (MPB) since 2019, making it a pioneer in the Azores.

With a herd of 30 dairy cows of the Jersey, Holstein Friesian, Norwegian Red, and Swedish Red breeds, and an area of 21 hectares, the system is based on natural pasture feeding, allowing the animals to roam freely throughout the year.

Visitors have the opportunity to experience the daily life of organic milk production, learning about the care required to maintain certification and ensure product quality. Additionally, the farm participates in an innovative A2A2 milk production project, using genetically selected cows that produce only A2 beta-casein. This milk is known to be easier to digest, reducing discomfort for people sensitive to A1 beta-casein.

  • Meeting Point for the activity: Residence of the exploration in São Brás, Terceira;
  • The exploration is divided into 3 plots (in 3 different parishes): São Brás, Agualva, and Fontinhas.
  • The weather in the Azores is very unpredictable, and it can rain at any time of year;
  • There may be days with some fog or low clouds, which do not allow you to see the attractions.
