This trail allows you to discover lagoons, conquer a mountain, and enjoy a privileged view of the central part of São Miguel Island, all in a single route in the Serra Devassa region.
Along the way, it’s possible to observe some endemic flora species. The route takes us past the lagoons of the western part of the island, including Lagoa das Éguas and Lagoa Rasa, before climbing to one of the highest points on the island, Pico das Éguas.
On the way back, there’s a stop at the Vista do Rei viewpoint, from where you can contemplate, in the distance, Lagoa Verde and Lagoa Azul.
The trail takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, providing a complete experience of nature and landscapes.
