The day starts with a hotel pick-up at 7:45 AM, followed by a stop at Mercado da Graça to purchase fresh ingredients for lunch. On the way to Furnas, we pause at Vila Franca do Campo to taste the traditional Queijada da Vila.
At Lagoa das Furnas, the chefs prepare lunch while participants watch. Then, enjoy an easy walking tour around the lake, finishing in the village of Furnas, with the option to bathe in the thermal waters of Poça da Dona Beija.
We return to the lake’s geothermal area to collect the lunch, served in the picnic area by the lake.
After lunch, the tour continues to the north coast with stops at the Furnas acid springs and Pico do Ferro viewpoint. Visit the Gorreana Tea Factory to sample local teas. On the way back to Ponta Delgada, stop at Santa Iria viewpoint.
