This trail starts at one of the most stunning spots on Flores Island, between Caldeira Negra and Comprida. After a few moments to admire the breathtaking scenery, the route follows along Lagoa Comprida, covered by a lush green carpet of endemic plants and others well adapted to the island’s unique climate.
The trail is ideal for birdwatching, as Flores Island serves as a key resting point for many migratory species. The journey culminates at Fajã Grande, offering spectacular views, accessed via a steep path rich in local history.
The hike ends beside an impressive waterfall over 80 meters high, perfect for a refreshing swim after the trek.
