Sea kayaking is one of the activities where you can truly experience the connection between the sea and the land.
The people of São Jorge, like all Azoreans, have always lived both from and for the sea and the land — a duality that has shaped their unique character in the middle of the Atlantic.
Through this activity, we aim not only to share the historical traits of these people and the geomorphology of the island’s cliffs, but also to provide moments of peace and leisure along our stunning coastline.
It is worth noting that our kayaks are of the “sit-on-top” type, suitable and certified for navigation up to 300 meters from the shore.
Participants are always accompanied by one or two certified guides.
