Hiking Tour – Vereda do Larano e Boca do Risco – The footpath of Larano offers stunning views, ever-changing scenery and vegetation. It starts in Machico and finishes in Porto da Cruz, a lovely little village on the north coast. This old path was, for generations, used by the local people to move from one place to another, often carrying on their shoulders large baskets filled with products coming from the farms. The views of the dramatic north coast will amaze you with deep ravines rising from the ocean 300 meters below and before starting to walk down the steps, you will enjoy the views over the small village of Porto da Cruz and the Eagle’s Rock. Continue until you have reached the infinity pool with great views on the surrounding mountains, Ponta de São Lourenço and sometimes the neighboring island of Porto Santo.
