This trail begins in a place called “Malha Grande” in the village of Biscoitos.
We will start walking by a gravel trail flanked by endemic flora, including Azores laurels (Laurus azorica), Azores heathers (Erica azorica) Fire Trees (Morella faya) and Azores junipers (Juniperus brevifolia) until a watercourse in a Japanese cedar wood.
Continuing through some bridges we will cross the watercourse, entering in a pasture and going up until reach a wooden portal up to the Azinhal Valley.
We will go up the stairway and we will go around the cliff until you reach a geodesic mark that indicates the highest point of this route (708m). From this point, we can see the Biscoito da Ferraria and Pico Alto Protected Area. From here, we go down towards the Rocha do Chambre viewpoint to admire the beautiful view. Before the trail ends, we will pass through pastures until we reach a bull ring, taking us to the beginning of the trail.
